This just in?.Comedy is happening at The ArtsCenter in Carrboro every month! There is a new show in town and it is called The Chuckle and Chortle Comedy show. Whether you like to chortle (a snorting, joyful laugh) or Chuckle (to laugh quietly or to oneself, to cluck or chuck, as a hen) this show is for you!? Come do one or both in Carrboro with local stand-up comedians!?? December?s show highlights the funny stylings of Thomas Dixson, John Sideris, Virginia Wallace, and Jenny Chalikian, with Michelle Maclay hosting it all up!
Thomas Dixson
Whole Foods.? Hangovers.? The Wu-Tang Clan.? What do all of these things have in common?? They?re all topics covered in the observational musings of Raleigh stand-up comic Thomas Dixson.? Thomas has a knack for combining 25 years of wisdom (or lack thereof) with a unique but simple way of viewing the world.
John Sideris
John wow?s audiences all over the east coast, from Durham to Carrboro. He co-hosts, with Michelle Maclay, the internationally known podcast, Small Town Funny. In his spare time he wrestles anacondas and is translating the work of Dylan Thomas into English.
Virginia Wallace
Virginia?s comedy is smart, sexy, sometimes dirty, and very funny. Ultimately honest, self-depreciating, but often surprising, her stand-up displays a unique perspective on the experience of the modern woman. Virginia has performed at venues throughout the Triangle.
Jenny Chalikian
Jenny has performed with the ladies of the Pink Collar Comedy Tour and has headlined in venues all over NC.? To learn more about her go to Twitter: @JennyChalikian or her website at discriminatingirreverence.com
